In this webinar you can hear from graduates of the International College of Liberal Arts about their experiences studying in Japan, and how it prepared them for the job market and postgraduate studies, both here in Japan and beyond.

The International College of Liberal Arts (iCLA) at Yamanashi Gakuin University offers Bachelor of International Liberal Arts with majors in Global Business and Economics, Political Science, Interdisciplinary Arts, and Japan Studies. Our degree program is taught entirely in English with students not needing any Japanese to apply. iCLA students can also study a variety of electives in the subject areas of Data Science, Psychology and Sociology, and Japanese Language.

iCLA Graduate

Friday Chikwala is an iCLA graduate from Zambia. After graduating from iCLA, Friday did an MBA at Kwansei Gakuin University, which allowed him to have a focused study area after having a broad background from Liberal Arts. He is currently working as a procurement agent at a recycling company in Saitama.

Haruka Fukuda
Current Student

Haruka is currently attending Akita International University graduate school’s English Language Teaching course and is studying to become a Japanese High School English teacher.

Dharuvi Jain
iCLA Graduate

Dharuvi Jain is a 2022 iCLA graduate from India. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Finance at Hult International Business School in the USA.

Bryan (Hao Ting) Chan
Current Student

Bryan is currently a second-semester student at the University of Mannheim in Germany pursuing a master’s in Political Science.

Daisuke Ou
iCLA Graduate

Since graduating from iCLA in 2020 Daisuke has worked for the automotive parts manufacturer Yazaki Corporation in its Strategy and Planning department.
